New Book Vending Machine For Oklahoma Elementary School

If you aren’t that familiar with our book vending machines you might be surprised at the impact they’re making around the country. Our Bookworm Vending Machines have made a big splash, not only in the vending industry but in the world of education as well. Teachers and school administrators are looking for any way to get students excited about reading and our book vending machine does just that. In fact, just recently an Oklahoma elementary school heard about what our machines are doing for schools and decided to make a purchase. Now their students are snacking on knowledge instead of food and drinks!

Oklahoma School Gets New Book Vending Machine

When your school buys a new book vending machine you’ll also get a set of our custom made gold coins featuring our mascot Inchy the bookworm. These coins are used to operate the machine and are all it takes for students to buy books that they get to keep! Many schools choose to use these coins to incentivize students. Things like good behavior, achieving academic goals, showing positive character traits and helping each other are rewarded. You’ll also have the option of getting your vending machine custom wrapped with your school colors, logos and anything else you might want.

Though our machines do come with some fun bells and whistles, their goal is always to provide a way to get books in the hands of students. That’s why Grove Upper Elementary School in Oklahoma came to us. They were looking for an accessible way to get books to students and get them engaged in reading. Our bookworm vending machine certainly fit the bill.

The impact one of these machines can have on a school should not be understated. For some students, earning coins to use on the vending machine may be the only chance they have to get a book of their own. Also, allowing kids a way to start their own personalized library of sorts could be just the thing that motivates them to keep reading. And as any educator can tell you, a solid foundation of reading skills is essential for academic development. At Global Vending Group we’re proud to be able to help make such a difference.

If you’re worried about securing the funds for a new book machine keep in mind that there are plenty of fundraising opportunities available. Whether it’s through federal grants, PTOs, or donations from your community, there’s always a way to raise money for education. Take this example from Grove Elementary. Miranda Ward, the school librarian, heard about our machine and formulated a grant request to help her school get a machine. She sent her proposal to GEFFE (the Grove Education Foundation for Excellence) and they were able to cover the entire cost of the machine! Kay Lyn Beauchamp, a member of the board for GEFFE had this to say:

“The purpose of GEFFE is to promote academic excellence and reading is an important element of the education process…….We are always looking for grants that feature a new and innovative way to improve education and this was such a unique idea.”

If you want to reignite the magic of reading at your school, a book vending machine might be just the thing for you. Don’t hesitate to call Global Vending Group today for information on pricing or with any other questions you might have. We look forward to working with you and aiding in your education efforts.
